Tankus The Henge
Tankus The Henge is a UK group built around the songwriting of multi-instrumentalist Jaz Delorean. Active since 2009, the act develops around a changing lineup and a long-running live-focused approach. It is previously known simply as Tankus The Henge.
Style and approach
The group takes inspiration from the ethos of an early 20th-century travelling show. Its working idea is to keep moving, tour constantly, answer to no one, and keep performances live and original. The band is associated with indie, rock, pop, funk and off-kilter influences.
Performances and touring
Tankus The Henge plays festivals across Europe and appears at events including Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz and WOMAD. The group also tours beyond Europe, with shows as far east as Tirana in Albania and as far west as New Orleans in the United States.
Releases
The band releases two albums: its self-titled debut Tankus the Henge and its follow-up I Crave Affection Baby, But Not When I Drive. A third album, Luna Park!, is part of the recorded output associated with the group.
