Tam

Tam is a band from Montréal. It is a lo-fi indie rock group centred on singer and guitarist Tam Isabel Pardo, with bassist J.P. Quintin, drummer Eloi Bertholet and bassist Johnny Souranis in the line-up. The project is not a solo act. Pardo has an established background in Montréal’s music scene, first playing in the early 1990s with Swing Dynamique in a big band style led by Mike King, then moving into rock with another Montréal band. After a period in Manchester, England, she returns to Montréal and forms The Vampires with Andy Nesvadba, who later moves back to Prague.

Tam signs to Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace! label in 2006. The band’s sound is identified with lo-fi indie rock.
