Super Deluxe is a Seattle rock group that forms in 1995 and remains active. The band centres on Braden Blake.

Career

After forming in Seattle, Super Deluxe becomes part of the northwest music scene. Warner’s Revolution label signs the group and releases Famous, which gains critical attention. The first single, “She Came On”, is named power pop record of the year by Melody Maker. Rolling Stone describes the band as combining elements of Cheap Trick, Big Star and Redd Kross.

Releases and activity

Super Deluxe tours in support of Famous and its follow-up, Via Satellite. The band’s songs also appear on film and television soundtracks. Its third full-length album, Surrender, is released in 2005.
