Splodgenessabounds

Splodgenessabounds are a British punk rock band associated with Oi! and punk pathetique. The band’s frontman is Max Splodge.

Notable recordings

They are best known for the 1980 track Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, a song that coins a phrase later used as the title of a BBC sitcom. It appears as the B-side of a single. The A-side is Simon Templar, a faster version of the theme tune from the ITV series The Saint.

Television appearances

In 2006, the band appears on Harry Hill's TV Burp after featuring on Rock School with Gene Simmons. At the end of the programme, they perform with Hill dressed as Gene Simmons’ character, “The Demon”.
