Soak is a Texas industrial rock group from Austin, active between 1994 and 2000. The band consists of John Moyer and Jason Demetri, and it is associated with the 1990s American industrial rock scene.
Career
The group forms in 1994 and releases three independent albums: Additive Free Sunday, Second Spool and Omniphonic Globalnova. In 1996 it receives a management contract from Rainmaker Artists and signs to Interscope Records. Although it has a guaranteed two-album deal, it does not move on to record the second album. After parting ways with Sire, the band records 2179 on Rainmake. Soak disbands in 1999.
