Simon Evans
Simon Evans is a comedian from Luton, United Kingdom, born in 1965. The name also appears in connection with a musical project under the full name Simon Llewelyn Evans, who works with nylon-string guitar and voice and is associated with the phrase “Draw Mountains There”.
In that musical account, he is described as having spent his early years near the Barwon River in Victoria, then moving to Melbourne at 18. At 24, he travels to an island in the South Pacific, where he stays for three years and writes songs later intended for a first album. He returns to Australia in December 2007 and lives near Warrandyte in Victoria.
That music project also includes accompaniment from Aaron Nakagawa, whose contributions are described as giving the recordings an island character. The material presented frames this as a return to music rather than a debut in the field.
