There are three artists with the name Shoot The Moon;\
1) A jazz influenced band from NJ, US.
2) A seven piece ska-reggae unit from the South West of England.
3) A short-lived rockband from Holland, with members of The Thought / The Rousers.
1) Shoot the Moon - as featured in the picture. North Jersey's Shoot.The.Moon was formed in late 2004 by Dan Pomponio, Joe Mankin, and Alex Drach. Jake Egan and Matt Lott followed shortly after to complete the line-up. Blending elements of Jazz, Pop, and Electronic music, Shoot.The.Moon creates a flavorful, unique breed of Rock. With extensive touring of the eastern U.S. under their belts, the band is rapidly building a dedicated following that is growing every day. Their debut album, "Seed/Soul" was released to digital retailers on October 16, 2007 via NJ Indie Label, Missile Silo Recordings. A limited edition CD version of the album is available at the band's shows and tours only.
Although their debut was released recently, Shoot.The.Moon have already begun writing what they feel is by far their best work to date and plans to record a sophomore effort by early spring 2008. The album should be ready for a summer 2008 release as the band looks to expand their horizons with a stronger record label.
2) Shoot The Moon are a 7 piece Brass driven Ska punk band hailing from the south west of England. Building up a repertoire of gigs, support slots, fans and songs, Shoot the Moon are beginning to stand out in the genre of ska punk.

Originally a 4 piece band Shoot the Moon made the decision in 2006 to incorporate brass into their music. Founding members Joe, Hen And Scott found Bones which led to the track 'New Boner'. The new sound wasn't complete until Higgs was brought in on trumpet! In late 2007 Mark and Trish were made fully fledged 'mooners' on bass and sax. Now armed with a fuller sound, sweet harmonies, funny jokes and kick ass trombone solos. Shoot The Moon set out to destroy your towns!
