Sheena Bratt

Sheena Bratt is a singer-songwriter from the United Kingdom, based in the North West of the country. She previously performs under the name Sheena Rowley. Her work draws on acoustic and folk-based songwriting, and is described across styles including country, blues, indie and pop.

Background and performance work

Bratt starts performing and writing at primary school, and from childhood she is involved in music. She plays guitar and sings, after spending time experimenting with several instruments. Her live and recording work includes solo performances and band projects, and she performs and records in the UK and abroad. She also raises money through some of this work.

Recordings and collaborations

Her releases include a four-track CD and a live album, along with individual tracks recorded with a range of other musicians. Among those collaborators are the dance music duo Hemstock & Jennings, with whom she also sings live at the Foundation in Newcastle upon Tyne. She later works with Rockin Russ, a DJ, producer and promoter associated with the Rocked label, and with James Williams on the Airspace label. She also takes part in a chilled electronic project with Robbie Fithon, a dance music producer signed to 6193 Recordings.

Live work and radio

Bratt supports Glen Tilbrook of Squeeze and appears at the Unsigned Showcase at Nantwich’s Folk and Roots Festival. She also has a regular singing slot at The Comedy Store before travelling. In addition, she presents a radio show in Thailand for a period, and performs live on various radio shows; her recorded tracks are also played on radio stations.

Mojo Records takes an interest in her work and features her track Fire In Your Eyes on its website, where she is also listed as an artist it is working with. She also develops other projects and says she is working with a new band. Her music is also available through her own website and through various music and social platforms.
