Royal Republic

Royal Republic is a Swedish rock band from Malmö, formed in late 2007 and active from 2007 to the present. The group consists of Adam Grahn on lead vocals and guitar, Hannes Irengård on guitar, Jonas Almén on bass guitar and Per Andreasson on drums. Their music is described as alternative rock, garage rock, hard rock and rock.

Early recordings and debut album

In late 2008, Royal Republic begins recording its first album at Beach House Studios in Malmö with producer Anders Hallbäck. The album is completed in 2009, and the songs are mixed at ToyTown Studios by Stefan Glaumann, whose credits include work with Rammstein, Europe, Def Leppard, Backyard Babies and Deathstars.

In 2009 the band signs a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music Scandinavia and a record deal with Bonnier Amigo Music. Its first single, All Because of You, is released in September 2009 and receives airplay on Swedish radio stations including Sveriges Radio and Bandit Rock. The debut album, We Are the Royal, is released in Sweden in February 2010 and is well received by critics, fans and rock radio.

Subsequent release

Royal Republic’s second album is released in 2012.
