Robin Trower is a British guitarist from Catford, United Kingdom, active in blues, blues rock, hard rock and rock. He is known for work with Procol Harum and for leading his own power trio.

Career

Trower first achieves success with Procol Harum in the 1960s before establishing a solo career. He is also associated with Liquorice John Death. His playing is often placed in comparison with Jimi Hendrix, though he does not receive the same level of publicity or fanbase.

Solo work

His best-known album is Bridge of Sighs (1974). His first solo album, Twice Removed from Yesterday, and his third, For Earth Below, are both produced by his former Procol Harum bandmate and organist Matthew Fisher. Robin Trower Live is noted for presenting his live guitar work in a way that closely matches his studio recordings, including the track “Daydream”.
