Peter Doherty

Peter Doherty is an English musician, songwriter, actor, poet, writer and artist from Hexham, Northumberland. Born in 1979, he is best known as co-frontman of The Libertines, which he forms with Carl Barât in 1997. He also works in the indie band Babyshambles and in Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres.

Solo and collaborative work

Alongside his band activity, Doherty releases solo albums including Grace/Wastelands, Hamburg Demonstrations and Felt Better Alive. He also records a collaborative album with French musician Frédéric Lo, The Fantasy Life of Poetry & Crime, under the credit Peter Doherty & Frédéric Lo. The album Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres is officially credited to Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres.
