Pegasus Bridge
Pegasus Bridge are a UK rock band from Manchester, England. They work in indie rock, power pop and related guitar-led styles, with songs described as combining simple melodies, delicate detail and a hook-driven sound.
Career
The band begins working on its material in the late 2000s and builds a profile through intensive live activity. Its touring brings shows alongside InMe, The Subways, Ladyhawke, The Futureheads and Pendulum. In October 2009, BRMB names Pegasus Bridge winners of its Battle of the Bands competition.
John Mitchell, known for his work with Funeral For A Friend, Kids In Glass Houses, Enter Shikari and You Me At Six, takes an interest in the group and captures its energetic, upbeat sound in the studio. The band’s music is presented as fresh, timeless and accessible across radio formats.
Split and later activity
The group parts ways in July 2011 after disputes with lead singer Edward Turner. Turner later starts a solo project.
