Peatbog Faeries

Peatbog Faeries are a Scottish group formed in 1991, based in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye. They work in celtic fusion and contemporary folk music, combining Scottish tunes with a wide-ranging performance style.

Career and activity

The group becomes known as one of Scotland’s better-known names in contemporary folk music. They perform across festival circuits in the UK and internationally, with appearances in Europe, Asia, Africa, America, Canada and Australia. In the UK they are regulars at events including Glastonbury, WOMAD, Beautiful Days, Belladrum and Celtic Connections.

Awards and releases

Peatbog Faeries win the Scottish Traditional Music Awards’ Live Act of the Year twice. They release six studio albums and one live album. Their album Dust is their latest release mentioned in the input.

Membership

The current line-up includes Iain Copeland, Innes Hutton, Peter Morrison, Nurudin, Ali Pentland, Tom Salter, Graeme Stafford and Adam Sutherland. Peter Morrison plays pipes and whistles; Innes Hutton plays bass and guitars; Tom Salter plays guitar; Graeme Stafford plays keyboards. Past members listed include Ross Couper, Stu Haikney, Peter Tickell, Roddy Neilson, Leighton Jones and Norman Austin.
