Paul Carrack
Paul Carrack is an English keyboardist, singer and songwriter from Sheffield, United Kingdom. Born in 1951, he works across blue-eyed soul, pop rock and soft rock, and is also associated with pop and rock.
Career
Carrack has several overlapping careers as a band member, session and touring musician, and solo artist. He is a member of Ace, Squeeze and Mike + the Mechanics, and is also associated with Nick Lowe and His Cowboy Outfit, Nick Lowe, Paul Carrack & Andy Fairweather Low, Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band and Mark Knopfler’s Guitar Heroes.
Recording work
His distinctive voice appears on some of the best-known songs by the bands he works with. Alongside his band activity, he has success as a solo artist.
