Pace
Pace is a house producer name associated with more than one act, including an American DJ and producer and a British-based alternative pop band. The name is also used by Lincoln Jesser, a Los Angeles-based producer, DJ and singer who works in electronic dance music and releases original tracks and remixes.
American DJ and producer
As Lincoln Jesser, Pace is based in Los Angeles and works as a producer, DJ and singer. His music draws on electronic dance styles, with influences that include Deadmau5 and Calvin Harris, alongside pop acts such as Kanye West and La Roux. He focuses on high-energy dance music and on original tracks and remixes. His debut EP is Electromantic EP, and he also remixes his own track “Bright Shiny Things”.
British-based alternative pop band
Pace is also the name of an alternative pop act based in London. The group forms in 2015 when singer-songwriter Adam Pavlovčin and pianist and composer Adrián Čermák start the project, before drummer Chris Eleos and guitarist Lorenzo Calvo join to make it a four-piece. The band aims to create music and performances that provoke thought and controversy. Its sound draws on avant-garde artists including Sevdaliza, Aurora and Anohni, as well as on the neo-folk and rock influences of Mumford and Sons, Matt Corby and Sufjan Stevens. The result is a style that combines traditional elements with an alternative-pop approach.
