Oldboy

Oldboy is a UK country group associated with death country, gothic country, dark country, acoustic music and Americana. The band forms in 2007 and is based in the UK.

Releases

The group self-releases a promo EP in December 2007, which is later remastered and given an official release by Devil’s Ruin Records in December 2008 as EP. Its first full-length album, In the Cold Light of Day, also appears on Devil’s Ruin Records. The band then releases How Lost I Am independently in 2011 and its third full album, And So It Is, in 2012.

Style and label

Oldboy’s music is described in terms including Dark Roots, Gothic/Alt. Country and Americana. The band is signed to Devil’s Ruin Records at one stage, and after the label’s demise its Bandcamp page becomes the stated official place for purchasing its music.
