Natalie Findlay, performing as Findlay, is an English indie rock musician from Manchester and London, originally from Stockport. Born in 1991, she begins her career in 2007 playing open-mic acoustic nights before deciding to work with a backing band.

Style and early development

Findlay’s sound develops from an interest in rough guitar-driven music, influenced by bands such as The Stooges, The White Stripes and post-punk groups. She drops her forename for her performances and uses the name Findlay for her band-led project.

Her live line-up features a drummer and two guitarists, but no bassist, which gives her performances a stripped-back and forceful sound.

Releases and live work

In 2012, she releases her first songs, Your Sister and Off & On, through Manchester label Joyeux Anniversaire Records. The following year she issues the Greasy Love EP.

Findlay also supports The Courteeners and Jake Bugg on tour.
