Monument

One Monument is an emo band from Washington, D.C., founded in 2006. Its sound draws on bands such as American Football and Braid, with a focus on complex guitar work and distinctive vocals. The band is also described as playing very loud live shows.

New York rock band

Another Monument is a New York City rock band founded in 2005 by singer Zander Bleck. After a series of lineup changes in 2006, the line-up includes Zander Bleck on vocals, Troy Bleck on guitars, Joseph Visconti on bass and vocals, and Andy Williams on drums and vocals. The group is rooted in 1960s and 1970s rock, drawing on the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Free, Humble Pie and the Who. It also experiments beyond standard rock forms, including on the track “Paint My Fate”, which moves toward a more dance-oriented approach.

Heavy metal band from London

MONUMENT is also the name of a British heavy metal band formed in East London by vocalist Peter Ellis, who has also been associated with White Wizzard and The More I See. This band presents itself as working in the tradition of true British heavy metal, using melodic bass lines, twin-guitar harmonies, steady drumming and falsetto vocals. It focuses on melody and songwriting within a classic metal style.
