Monster Magnet
Monster Magnet is an American rock band from Red Bank, New Jersey. Formed in 1989 by Dave Wyndorf on vocals and guitar, John McBain on guitar and Tim Cronin on vocals and drums, the group goes through a series of lineup changes, with Wyndorf remaining the only constant member.
The band releases eleven studio albums: Spine of God (1991), Superjudge (1993), Dopes to Infinity (1995), Powertrip (1998), God Says No (2001), Monolithic Baby! (2004), 4-Way Diablo (2007), Mastermind (2010), Last Patrol (2013), Mindfucker (2018) and A Better Dystopia (2021).
They are known for the 1990s tracks “Negasonic Teenage Warhead” and “Space Lord”. Monster Magnet also plays an important part in the development and wider recognition of stoner rock, alongside acts such as Masters of Reality, Kyuss, Fu Manchu and Sleep.
