Messa

Messa are an Italian group from Cittadella, in Veneto. They form in 2014 and are still active. The line-up includes Sara Bianchin on vocals, Alberto Piccolo on guitar, Rocco Toaldo on drums and Marco Zanin on bass.

The band works across doom metal, alternative metal, dark ambient, drone, drone metal and heavy metal. Their sound also draws on a wide range of other influences, including prog, black metal, punk, jazz and blues, which they bring together in a style they describe as Scarlet Doom.

Their debut release, Belfry, comes out in 2016. The group emerges early in 2014 and builds its identity around the combination of those different musical backgrounds and a heavy, atmospheric approach.
