Mary Epworth is an English singer, songwriter and composer from the United Kingdom. She also records and performs with her band, Mary Epworth and The Jubilee Band.

Recordings

Epworth releases her debut album, Dream Life, in 2012. Four singles from the album are playlisted on BBC 6 Music, and “Black Doe” is named BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record In The World.

Her second album, Elytral, is released in 2017. It is produced by Thom Monahan at his Golden Void studio in Los Angeles and includes electronic experimentalism, prog, psychedelia and free jazz among its influences. The first single, “Me Swimming”, is named by Sunday Times Culture as its Hottest Track, while NME lists it among its Best New Tracks and highlights its “swirling, swooning synths”.

Live work and other projects

Epworth and Mary Epworth and The Jubilee Band perform sold-out headline shows and play at festivals. She also composes music for the 2016 dystopian psychological-horror spin-off Within the Wires, part of the Welcome to Night Vale universe, and joins the Night Vale team on live tours across the US and Europe.
