Major Look

Major Look is a London drum and bass group made up of Crystal Clear and MC Stapleton. The pair first meet through a Saturday job when they are 15, then follow separate paths in drum and bass before working together.

Crystal Clear develops a more upfront sound, while Stapleton focuses on a deeper, techier style. A few years later, they are booked to play a gig together in Southampton and exchange contact details. Crystal Clear then writes a stripped-back track intended for a vocal, and asks Stapleton to record on it. The collaboration works well, and they decide to continue making music together as Major Look.

The group operates across drum and bass, jungle and rap, and the name is used for the Crystal Clear and Stapleton partnership from 2012 onwards.

Major Look receives support from a number of radio DJs, including Mistajam, Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, Nick Bright, Andi Durrant, Crissy Criss and DJ Hype.
