Mahalia is an English alternative R&B and soul singer, songwriter and actress from Leicester, now based in Birmingham. Born Mahalia Burkmar in 1998, she releases music through Mahalia Music.

Early work

Her debut EP, Head Space, is made up of songs she writes in the summer of 2011 while she develops as a guitarist and songwriter. The record focuses on love and relationships, and presents the start of her creative development as an artist from Leicester.
