Lifer

Lifer is a US nu metal band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It forms in 1999 and remains active until 2002, with a reunion in 2018. The group is originally known as Strangers With Candy.

Line-up and early name

The original line-up includes vocalist Nick Coyle, guitarist Aaron Fink, bassist Mark Klepaski, drummer Chris Lightcap and turntablist Tony Kruszka. The verified membership identifies Aaron Fink and Mark James Klepaski as members of the group.

Career

The band wins a place on Universal Records after a performance on MTV’s Ultimate Cover Band Contest in 2000. Under that label, it releases a self-titled album in 2001. The group breaks up later that same year after its first and only album.

After Lifer

Aaron Fink and Mark Klepaski later join Breaking Benjamin. When Lifer reunites in 2018, Coyle and Fink return, Kruszka moves to drums, and Mike Morgan becomes the bassist.
