Les Hurlements d'Léo
Les Hurlements d'Léo are a French alternative rock group formed in 1995 and based in Bordeaux. Their music combines rock with traditional French elements, including accordion, alongside gypsy, Latin, ska and punk influences. They are associated with the French chanson and nouvelle scène française scenes as well as rock.
Career
The group records and performs with a changing line-up; the listed members include Jocelyn Gallardo, Julien Arthus, Bayrem Benamor, Frédéric Gallot, Pierre Jean Ley, Laurent Kebous, Erwan Naour, Cyril Renou, Vincent Serrano, Alban Zaccomer, Renaud Eychenne, Nicolas Romero and Nicolas Saillan. They release material from 1998 onwards, beginning with Le Café des Jours Heureux, and they have five regular albums in France, including one live album.
Les Hurlements d'Léo also work with other acts, including Les Ogres de Barback, Zombie Eaters, 17 Hippies and L'Enfance Rouge. Their live performances are a major part of their profile, with a reputation for energetic shows.
