Lee Fields & The Expressions is a soul band from the United States that forms in 2004 and remains active. The group centres on singer Lee Fields and Homer Steinweiss, and works with Big Crown Records.

Formation and early recordings

The Expressions begin with encouragement from Jeff Silverman and Leon Michels. After the launch of Truth & Soul Records, Fields is brought in to record a single that becomes Do You Love Me (Like You Say You Do) / Honey Dove. The result leads to the formation of the band.

Style and recordings

The group develops a sound rooted in soul, with funk and blues influences, and is associated with a vintage American style. Its music combines older soul traditions with more modern elements, aiming for a sound that draws on classic artists such as Al Green and Sam Cooke while remaining distinct. The band releases My World in 2009.
