Knife Party

Knife Party are an Australian electronic dance music duo from Perth and London. The group forms in 2011 and consists of Gareth McGrillen and Rob Swire, both of whom also perform in the Australian drum and bass band Pendulum. Their music spans complextro, dubstep, electro house, electronic and house, and they release material on Earstorm Records and Earstorm.

Releases and collaborations

The duo releases five EPs: 100% No Modern Talking, Rage Valley, Haunted House, Trigger Warning and Lost Souls EP. They also work with Swedish House Mafia on the single Antidote.

Album

Their debut studio album, Abandon Ship, appears in 2014. It marks a move away from the heavier dubstep sound associated with their earlier EPs and brings in more mainstream electro house. The album is scheduled for late October, then delayed to late November, and it appears early on iTunes after an accidental leak that happens before the final release.

Live activity

In March 2015, at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, the duo debuts three new tracks, including one collaboration with Tom Staar. They later tease another collaboration featuring Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine.
