Kneecap

Kneecap are an Irish hip hop trio from Belfast, active since 2017. The group consists of Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí, who are the stage names of Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, Naoise Ó Cairealláin and J.J. Ó Dochartaigh.

Style and language

The trio performs rap in both English and Irish. Their music is classed as gangsta rap, hip hop and political hip hop, and their lyrics often address Irish republican themes.

Releases

Their first mixtape, 3CAG, is titled from the Irish phrase 3 Chonsan Agus Guta. They later release their debut album, Fine Art.
