Klint

Klint is an English electronic group associated with breakbeat, dance, electronic and techno, and it also works with acoustic instruments and lo-fi production. The group builds songs from a wide range of influences, including Tom Waits, Aphex Twin, the Beach Boys, Sonic Youth, Ennio Morricone and Nick Drake. Its material appears on vinyl-only EPs titled Black, Blue and Orange, and the group’s profile grows through word of mouth and sales of those releases.

Among Klint’s better-known tracks are “Closer”, “Atlantic Spaceham Blues”, “The Mess We’re In”, “Makes You Well” and “Partykiller”. “Closer” appears on the compilation Music For Dreams. “Atlantic Spaceham Blues” combines folk-tinged lyrics with shuffle beats, while “The Mess We’re In” uses blues and salsa elements, distorted vocals and drum machine loops. “Makes You Well” and “Partykiller” are described as understated punk rock-influenced tracks.

Klint also contributes two tracks to the soundtrack of the film Snatch, including “Diamond”, and serves as guest DJs for the film’s premieres in Los Angeles and London.
