Kerfuffle

Kerfuffle is an English folk group from the United Kingdom, active from 2001 to 2010. The band forms around the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, and it is known for a line-up built around fiddle, accordion, acoustic guitar, bass guitar and percussion.

Line-up

The group originally consists of Sam Sweeney on fiddle and percussion, Hannah James on vocals and accordion, Chris Thornton-Smith on acoustic guitar, and Tom Sweeney on bass guitar. Chris Thornton-Smith is later replaced by Jamie Roberts. The listed members are Jamie Roberts, Chris Thornton-Smith, Hannah James, Sam Sweeney and Tom Sweeney.

Name and background

The name Kerfuffle comes from the Scots word carfuffle, meaning disturbance, commotion or fuss. The band disbands in August 2010.
