Career

Craig emerges in 2004 and becomes known for lead vocals in post-hardcore bands, particularly Emarosa and Dance Gavin Dance. He is a founding member of Dance Gavin Dance and leaves and returns to the band twice before moving away from those lead vocal roles. His singing is noted for an R&B and soul-influenced range, which helps set him apart from other voices in the scene.

Other projects

Alongside his main-band work, Craig has a former stint in Ghost Runner On Third and provides vocals in the supergroup Isles & Glaciers. He also focuses on solo material, which is signed to Rise Records for a period and is presented as a separate project from his band work.

Solo releases

His solo discography includes A Dream is a Question You Don’t Know How to Answer, his debut album, and a live release, Live at Bamboozle 2010. He also releases the singles “Rhythm In My Soul”, “Nobody Ever Will” and “House of War”, and later confirms that some leaked demo material does not reflect the sound of his solo album.

Background

Craig is described as Canadian and from Abbotsford, British Columbia, but is also identified as being from Minot, United States. His personal life is publicly associated with drug addiction, which affects his time in Emarosa and Dance Gavin Dance. He also uses crowdfunding support for a solo album project tentatively titled The Blue Print for Going in Circles, and he later buys out his previous contract with Rise Records.
