It Bites

It Bites are a British rock band formed in Egremont, Cumbria, in 1982. They are associated with progressive rock and crossover prog, and the group remains active.

History

The original line-up includes Francis Dunnery on vocals and guitar, John Beck on keyboards, Dick Nolan on bass and Bob Dalton on drums. Dunnery leaves the band in 1990 and is replaced by Lee Knott, who had previously supported the group on tour.

In 1991, the band changes its name first to Navajo Kiss and then to Sister Sarah, before splitting in 1992. It Bites reforms in 2006.

Line-up changes and current members

After the reformation, Dunnery is replaced by John Mitchell, who also performs with Kino, Arena, The Urbane and Frost*. Dick Nolan is later replaced on bass by Lee Pomeroy in 2008. The group’s listed members are Dick Nolan, John Beck, Bob Dalton, John Mitchell, Lee Pomeroy and Francis Dunnery.
