HO99O9

HO99O9, pronounced “Horror,” is an American punk rap group from Newark, New Jersey. It forms in 2012 and remains active. The group includes theOGM, Brandon Pertzborn and Lawrence Eaddy, who is also known as Yeti Bones. It is associated with punk rap, and its name is often written in stylised form as Ho99o9.

Formation and early activity

The group begins in Newark in 2012 and later relocates to Los Angeles in 2014. Early attention comes quickly: in 2014, it appears on Rolling Stone’s list of 10 new artists to know and is also named as The Guardian’s New Band of the Week.

Live appearances and releases

HO99O9 performs at a number of major festivals, including Afropunk Festival in 2014, SXSW Music Festival in 2015 and Primavera Sound Festival in 2016. Its discography includes several EPs, which are often paired with grindhouse-style videos, and three studio albums: United States of Horror, SKIN and Tomorrow We Escape.
