Harry is the name used by several different acts, including a Brazilian band, an English solo artist, a Slovenian punk band, two Dutch acts, a Japanese solo artist and a Swiss alternative rock band.

Brazil

One Brazilian Harry forms in Santos, São Paulo, in 1985. The line-up includes Hansenharryebm on vocals and guitar, Cesar Di Giacomo on drums, and Richard Johnsson on bass. The group starts with noisy rock sung in English, then changes its sound after the arrival of producer and keyboardist Roberto Vert. Its later work moves towards rock and experimental electronic music, with influences that range from The Clash and Kraftwerk to writers such as Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore. The band also contributes a cover of New Order’s “Doubts Even Here” to the first New Order tribute album, Essence.

England and the United States

Victoria Harrison, who performs as Dirty Harry and later The Amazonica, originally comes from London and lives in Los Angeles. Her first mainstream single is “So Real”, which gets regular play on music channels such as Kerrang, and her follow-up “Imagination” appears on a wider range of music channels including The Box. She also performs regularly at The Viper Room in Los Angeles, and appears on Tommy Lee’s album Tommyland: The Ride on the track “Makin Me Crazy”.
