Grifter are a hard rock trio from Plymouth, England, active since 2003. The line-up consists of Ollie Stygall on guitars and vocals, Phil Harris on bass and Foz on drums. Their sound is rooted in stoner rock, southern rock, hard rock and classic rock, and is described in terms of Black Sabbath, ZZ Top and AC/DC.

Career

Formed in 2003, Grifter build their reputation as a live band playing across Britain. They are signed to Ripple Music, a label based in California.

Releases

Their recorded output begins with the demo Elephantine in 2005, followed by the High Unholy Mighty Rollin' CDEP in 2008 on Fury 76 and The Simplicity of the Riff is Key in 2010 on Catacomb Records. In 2011 they appear on Heavy Ripples, a four-way split 7-inch released by Ripple Music, and also release a self-titled CD on the same label. Their later release The Return Of The Bearded Brethren appears in 2014 on CD and vinyl through Ripple Music.
