Green Lung are a heavy rock band from London, United Kingdom, active since 2017. The group consists of Scott Black, Tom Templar, Matthew Wiseman and John Wright, and is associated with doom metal, grunge, hard rock, heavy metal and heavy psych, as well as stoner rock and stoner metal.

Style and background

The band’s sound draws on psychedelic rock and proto-metal, with a heavy underground approach that combines those older influences with occult themes and punk energy. They are based in South London and work in the heavier end of the UK rock and metal scene.

Releases and live activity

Green Lung release their debut album, Woodland Rites, in 2019. They also share stages with Conan, Conjurer, Primitive Man and Puppy, which places them within a wider circuit of contemporary heavy acts.
