Glass

Glass is a progressive rock group from Ojai, in the United States. It is a trio made up of Greg Sherman, Jeff Sherman and Jerry Cook. The band’s music is described as progressive rock and symphonic prog, and it also draws on Canterbury jazz-rock and space rock.

Career

Glass is active in the mid-1970s and records material in 1973 to 1975, but its first album does not appear until 2001. That album, No Stranger to the Skies, is a belated debut released as a double CD. The first disc presents studio recordings, while the second collects practice-session recordings that are presented as live material.

The band appears at ProgWest in 2001 and at Baja Prog in 2002. It also helps organise The Progman Cometh festival in 2002 and performs there.

Later release

In 2005, Glass releases Illuminations, a studio album that shows both how the group changes since its earlier recordings and how it remains close to its 1970s approach.
