Gallops

Gallops are a UK experimental rock and electronica group formed in Wrexham in 2007. The band plays instrumental music and is described as a four-piece whose sound combines mechanical, shifting structures with elements of post-rock, math rock, electronic music and rock.

The group first makes a wider mark in 2010 with a self-titled debut EP. That release draws on carefully assembled fragments of math rock, put together with a heavy, forceful approach and an electronic texture that recalls early home-computer sounds. The band follows it in 2011 with the double A-side 7-inch Joust/Eukodol.

Gallops then record their debut album, Yours Sincerely, Doctor Hardcore, for release through Holy Roar and Blood and Biscuits. The group is active from 2007 to 2013 and then again from 2016 onward.
