frenzee

frenzee is a punk group active since 2021, based in Greece. The band consists of Melbourne-born Greek siblings Apollonia Xylouris, Nikos and Adonis. They are part of the Xylouris family, a name closely associated with Cretan folk music, and they bring that background into a sound rooted in punk rock, garage rock and garage punk.

The group’s music combines the force of Cretan musical tradition with influences from hard rock, punk and alternative acts including AC/DC, Hard Ons, The Angels, Bikini Kill, Motörhead, Hole, The Prodigy and Rage Against the Machine. Their approach is described as raw and intense, with a performance style shaped by both family heritage and a broad range of childhood listening.

As a family band, frenzee’s identity is closely tied to the passing on of musical skill and discipline through generations of the Xylouris family, while also drawing on the energy of contemporary punk.
