Freeze the Atlantic are a UK rock group formed in 2009 by Andy Gilmour and Guy Davis. The band’s line-up changes over time, and the current version includes Andy Gilmour on guitar and vocals, Sean Shreeve on bass and vocals, Tom Stevens on guitar and vocals, Liv Puente on vocals, and Guy Davis on drum set and percussion. Over its history, the band has had three different vocalists and two different bassists.

Andy Gilmour is associated with Hundred Reasons and Guy Davis with Reuben. The group’s later line-up represents a fourth version of the band, after earlier personnel changes that do not stop its activity or shape its direction.

Releases and live activity

Freeze the Atlantic release their debut album, Speakeasy, in 2012. The album contains 11 tracks and brings together several figures from the members’ musical pasts and later work. It is followed by a self-titled second album in 2014, written with the newer line-up and presented as a heavier and more accomplished record. The band also undertakes numerous tours across the UK and Ireland, with appearances at notable festivals and airplay on Radio 1 and Xfm helping to widen their audience.
