FreeFall is the alias of James Smith, a United States artist associated with trance, progressive trance and dance-oriented electronic music.

The name Freefall is also used by several other acts, including producers Alan Bremner and Anthony Pappa, who are linked to the progressive trance track “Skydive”; a British melodic rock/AOR band that releases the album Rebel Hard before later changing its name to Kick; a Swedish prog rock and melodic hard rock band from the 1990s; a band formed and led by Kaiser Kuo at Berkeley University in California in 1984; a Christian band formed at Park Community Church in Chicago in 2010; a four-piece Italian improvised noise and free jazz group; an alias of producer Brian Mannion, also known as DJ Undacut and Time Signature; and a German metalcore band that releases Unspoken Words and Forever Beloved between 2004 and 2006.
