Fortitude

Fortitude is the name of at least two artists: a grindcore band from Osaka, Japan, and Adam Fortitude, a UK-based producer and DJ working in hard drum and bass.

Adam Fortitude

Adam Fortitude, also known as Fortitude, is a UK-based producer and DJ associated with hard drum and bass, including neurofunk and techstep. He develops his own approach to the style and spends time learning, sampling, reading, tweaking, watching, obsessing, talking about and making drum and bass.

He DJs regularly in his local area alongside Consistent Motion and Transition as part of KZSS. After relocating to Devon for a year and then to Vancouver for another year, he works and records in the studio and develops a nocturnal routine around music production.

His releases appear on Trust in Music, Section 8, Close 2 Death and Extent Recordings. He also works frequently with his long-time friend Terror Cell. Together they build a back catalogue of darker drum and bass, including DEATHNOTE, which appears on an EP with Dj Hidden and Cooh on Tantrum Recordings, and NO PEACE on Section 8 Recordings.

His other tracks and remixes appear on labels including Ex Machina, DeathSoundBat and SCPTX. He also spends much of his time travelling around the UK for gigs.
