Florentino

Florentino is an Argentine psych folk musician and indie folk-rock songwriter. He is also described as a DJ and as a graphic designer. Before his solo work, he co-founds the Argentine indie rock band Pájaros de Plomo.

Solo work

By the end of the 2000s, Florentino moves away from electric guitar and turns to acoustic instrumentation, with psychedelic lyrics, drawings, colourful melodies and finger-picked guitar work becoming central to his music. He records his first LP in a tree-house, working alone on the album.

First LP and collaborators

His debut LP appears in 2010. Cuban troubadour Rafael De La Torre appears as a special guest vocalist on the record, and Mariano Esain handles mastering at El Arbol studios.

Style and influences

His work is associated with indie folk, folk, psych folk and related acoustic, psychedelic and rock-influenced sounds. The tree-house setting is linked in description to musical references including Nick Drake, Caetano Veloso and Led Zeppelin.
