FloodHounds

FloodHounds are a Sheffield-based three-piece group active since 2014. They play blues, blues rock and rock, with a fast-paced sound that mixes British indie rock with raw American blues. Their music is described in terms of British indie and rock alongside influences associated with blues rock and guitar-led alternative bands.

Formation and line-up

The band’s current three-piece format emerges in late 2014. The members are Jack Flynn, who is the vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, Rhys Owens on bass, and Lauren Greaves on drums. The group comes from Sheffield.

Releases and radio play

The title track of the band’s second EP is Bare Bones. That track streams on SoundCloud and receives radio play from BBC Introducing Sheffield, Sheffield Live and other local and online radio shows. The band also records a video version of the song at 2Fly Studios in Sheffield.

Live activity

FloodHounds are selected from 1,200 unsigned applicants to play at Sheffield’s Leadmill for Tramlines 2015.
