Float Fall is a Belgian dreampop duo from Leuven, active since 2011. The group consists of Rozanne Descheemaeker and Ruben Lefever.

Style and sound

Their music combines indie rock, indie pop and dreampop elements with subtle electronic production, guitar, horns, organs, old strings and raw electronics. Their songs are often described through contrast: quiet and atmospheric, but with layered beats and a sense of suppressed nostalgia. The vocal arrangement is central to the duo’s sound, with Descheemaeker’s voice and Lefever’s hoarser vocals singing against and around each other.

Releases and reception

Float Fall’s debut single is Someday. It presents the duo’s combination of electronic textures and guitar lines, and features back-and-forth vocals. The track is noted for its layered atmosphere and for introducing the project’s style.
