Firestone

Firestone is a stoner rock band from Örebro, Sweden. The group appears as one of two bands associated with the name Firestone, with this act identified as the Swedish stoner band rather than the hardcore/metal band from the H8000 region.

Releases and recordings

The band issues two EPs: Mexicon and Stonebeliever, both released in the early 2000s. It also appears on the Fuzzorama Records split Fuzzsplit Of The Century and contributes a track to the Fuzzorama Records compilation The Ultimate Fuzzcollection Vol. ONE. The song on the compilation is a cut track originally intended for the Stonebeliever EP.

Activity and touring

Firestone tours as a warm-up act for Dio, Alice Cooper and RATT on their Sweden tour in early 2000. The band disbands in 2005.

Members and related projects

Guitarist Oskar and long-time producer Nicklas later form Truckfighters in late 2002, which becomes their main project. Winfred joins Truckfighters in 2003. Singer Matt later appears as a guest on the song “Devlish Women” on The Reucers’ debut EP in 2005, which is produced by Oskar and Nicklas. Matt is later heard playing drums in a local punk-pop band.
