Eric Prydz is a Swedish DJ and producer from Täby municipality. Born in 1976, he works in electronic music and is associated with house, progressive house, trance, techno and related styles including electro house, tech house and minimal.

He is best known for the singles “Call On Me” and “Pjanoo”, as well as his remix of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall”, released as “Proper Education”. “Call On Me” becomes his biggest chart success and reaches number one in the UK singles chart for five weeks. “Proper Education” also charts highly in the UK, Germany and Sweden.

Prydz releases music under several aliases, including Cirez D, Pryda and Sheridan. He also appears as part of A&P Project and The Dukes of Sluca. In addition to his own releases, he runs the labels Pryda, Pryda Friends, Mouseville, Eric Prydz Ltd. and Pryda Recordings, which issue much of his music.

His work is described as spanning a broad range of electronic subgenres, with house and techno forming a major part of his output.
