Don Cavalli is a singer-songwriter from Paris, France, associated with blues, trip-hop, alternative blues, rockabilly and country. He performs under his own name after a period spent in a number of groups and solo work.

Career

From the 1980s, Cavalli appears in rockabilly and country groups including the Blue Cats and the Two Timers. He develops a small but devoted following for a vocal style described through comparisons with Johnny Cash and Charlie Feathers. In 2002, he releases a solo album titled Odd and Mystic.

His profile grows after he signs to Everloving Records in Los Angeles. On that label he releases the full-length Cryland, which brings together swamp blues, lo-fi pop, country gospel and early rock and roll. The album appears first in CD form and then on vinyl shortly afterwards.
