David Guetta

David Guetta is a French DJ and music producer from Paris, France. He is active in club, dance, dance-pop, electro house, electroclash, electronic and techno-oriented music, and is associated with Africanism All Stars, Men Machine and the label Gum Prod.

Career

Guetta releases his first album, Just a Little More Love, in 2002, followed by Guetta Blaster in 2004 and Pop Life in 2007. He reaches wider mainstream recognition with One More Love in 2009, which includes “When Love Takes Over” with Kelly Rowland, “Gettin’ Over You”, “Sexy Bitch” and “Memories”; the first three of these songs reach number one in the United Kingdom. His 2011 album Nothing but the Beat continues that run, with “Where Them Girls At”, “Little Bad Girl”, “Without You”, “Titanium” and “Turn Me On”.

In 2018, he releases 7, which features collaborators including J Balvin, Nicki Minaj, Jason Derulo, Sia and G-Eazy, and also includes twelve tracks under his Jack Back alias. In 2019, he and fellow producer Morten Breum begin a project called future rave, and they release the New Rave EP in 2020. He also reunites with Sia for “Let’s Love” in 2020.

Recognition

Guetta has sold more than 10 million albums and 65 million singles worldwide, and his music has passed 14 billion streams. He is voted number one in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll in 2011, 2020 and 2021. His awards include two Grammy Awards, an American Music Award and a Billboard Music Award. In 2013, Billboard names “When Love Takes Over” the number-one dance-pop collaboration of all time.
