Danny Tenaglia
Danny Tenaglia is a Brooklyn-born American DJ, remixer and producer associated with progressive house, techno and tribal house. Born in 1961, he grows up in Brooklyn, New York, and later moves to Miami, Florida in 1985 before returning to New York, where he lives and works.
Career
Tenaglia begins his New York career at venues including the Roller Palace, one of the early roller discos in Brooklyn, as well as Stix and Crisco Disco. In Florida, he becomes a resident DJ at Cheers. After moving back to New York, he continues to DJ regularly at clubs in the city, including a monthly residency at Vinyl.
He releases his debut album, Hard & Soul, in 1995. His later beat-mixed dance compilations include Mix This Pussy, Can Your Pussy Do The Dog?, Gag Me with a Tune and Color Me Danny. He also releases Space in 2008.
Remixing and production work
Tenaglia remixes and produces more than 200 songs. His work includes recordings associated with Madonna, Janet Jackson, Grace Jones, Kim Mazelle, Bette Midler, Cher, Pet Shop Boys and Blondie.
